About the Institutional Relations Analyst Role:
The Institutional Relations Analyst is responsible for driving and strengthening strategic relationships across all key areas of Pro Mujer: financial inclusion, education, health, gender, and more. This role takes an integrated approach, managing networks, communities, and events to position the organization as a leader in Latin America.
Essential Functions
Strategic Management of Institutional Relationships
- Design, implement, and optimize tailored relationship plans for assigned strategic accounts, ensuring alignment with Pro Mujer’s global objectives.
- Oversee and strengthen the portfolio of strategic partners, prioritizing retention and growth of key relationships that provide financial value, in-kind contributions, visibility, or co-created resources.
- Identify new opportunities within existing relationships and propose innovative strategies to maximize the impact of each partnership.
- Negotiate, develop, and execute collaboration agreements (MOUs, LOIs) to foster sustainable and mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Represent Pro Mujer in key forums, building strategic relationships with relevant stakeholders and positioning the organization as a reference in financial inclusion, education, health, gender, and more.
Management of Networks and Strategic Events
- Identify and coordinate Pro Mujer’s participation in key events that boost visibility, networking, and organizational learning.
- Design and implement strategies to maximize impact in networks and platforms where Pro Mujer is an active member, while exploring new affiliation opportunities.
- Manage the planning and follow-up of strategic events, ensuring the achievement of specific objectives and strengthening Pro Mujer’s presence.
Collaboration in the GLI Forum Latam
- Support the coordination of the event within the organization, ensuring effective linkage among thematic areas.
- Contribute to the design of an innovative and relevant agenda, identifying allies, donors, and key gender ecosystem players as speakers and attendees.
- Facilitate sponsorship management to ensure the financial success of the event.
Monitoring and Knowledge Management
- Facilitate the integration and alignment of new strategic partners, fostering a culture of effective collaboration.
- Plan and lead periodic relationship meetings with current partners, ensuring constructive discussions aligned with shared objectives.
- Efficiently manage tools like Salesforce to optimize internal communication, decision-making, and documentation of results.
Minimum requirements
Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 3 years in strategic alliance management, institutional relationship development, or roles related to financial inclusion, health, education, gender, or social entrepreneurship.
- Having a postgraduate degree is desirable.
Specific Skills and Knowledge
- Proven experience in designing and implementing institutional relationship and partner retention strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to identify collaboration opportunities that generate financial, in-kind, or strategic positioning value.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (preferably Salesforce).
- Experience in organizing strategic events and active participation in impact networks.
- Strong analytical skills to map key stakeholders and prioritize opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
- Advanced profiency in English (C1 Level) is a must.
Valued Competencies
- Knowledge of the gender-lens investing ecosystem (GLI), sustainable development, and social development goals (SDGs).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate.
- Experience in managing multisectoral alliances (private sector, NGOs, multilateral organizations, and governments).
